Roark’s Favorite PP Treatment
8 day/4-treatment method:

Back somewhere before 2005, when I was very involved in keeping koi, there was an excellent web site by a fellow named “Roark” No first name, just Roark. His site had some excellent articles, and he was very insightfull to Koi and their problems. In 2007, when I sold my business, I also had to sell my website (arborman.com) and reloaded much of that site to this page. I have tried over the years to relocate Roark to no avail.

His protocol for treating with potassium permanganate made a lot of sense, and I was able to use it effectively. Below is from Roark. Wherever he is, his ideas go on.

(Once the water goes brown, the chemical reaction is finished. Most of the time in my case, I treated in the morning and the pond went brown very quickly on the initial dose, and I retreated in the afternoon. Notice that on day two he wants you to treat with the H202 to clear the water.) jmm
